Everything on this site is made up. It is worth saying plainly, because the whole point of a good case file is that it looks real.
The reports, memos, bulletins, records, photographs and terminals published here are written and staged for a game. They are not real records, they were not issued by any real authority, and the officials who sign them do not exist.
Victims, suspects, witnesses and investigators are characters. Any resemblance to a real person, living or dead, is coincidental. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting that any real individual has committed a crime or done anything wrong.
Cases involve fictional crimes, usually murder, and may touch on death, deception and betrayal — the standard furniture of the genre. Players choose to take part, and hosts set the tone of their own sessions. If a case isn't for you, you are free to stop at any point.
If you believe a case depicts a real person, uses content it has no right to, or crosses a line, raise it with the host running the game, or with the site administrator through the community where the session is being run. Content that breaches the terms of use is removed.
